I finally did it! I blogged about my first internet tool, Wordle, on my personal blog (www.nachargualaf.blogger.com). I have to admit, I have been hesitant to complete even this part of the project only because I'm really not used to "blogging" and I don't really know if anyone cares to read what I have written. I guess I have to focus on what I can get out of the blog and nothing else. I do love Wordle and how easy it is to use, I only wish it were easier to save each creation. I know I'm not nearly as close to those who have posted more than the required three blogs on Internet Tools, but that's ok too. I'm enjoying my time to really learn about the tools I've selected which I've never given the time to before. This is a good thing.
The fourth IRA Effective Literacy Website I'd like to explore is News ELA (www.newsela.com). I came across this site as I was browsing through Pinterest. Yes, I'm a Pinner! This site brings current events into the classroom and what's interesting is that each article is available in 4-5 different Lexile Levels. Interesting, right? I'll finish this review after I explore and learn more.
All these tools and websites are so interesting that I can't seem to focus. I have a million +1 tabs open on my browser each time I turn on the computer that I can't seem to gather my thoughts together sometimes. FOCUS, right? Thanks to everyone for inspiration and keeping the momentum going.

Lani,
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize how much ideas pinterest had for the classroom. It wonderful! I thought that it was really just a site for DIY arts and crafts. Thanks for sharing.
