Exploring Google Earth
I haven't had the opportunity to explore Google Earth before, so this was fun. I enjoyed the "tour guide" feature. Every time I typed in a place in the search box, I would be directed to that place and a list of landmarks and places to visit would show up at the bottom. It was so wonderful looking through the gallery of places to visit, especially because I've never been to these places before. I enjoyed typing in a place and being able to see an image of that place. I was able to see roads and get directions to places. I enjoyed seeing all the different weathers and temperatures around the world. I also liked the feature of boarders and tables and seeing how the states were divided. This would be a great tool to use when teaching the 50 states. My favorite feature was viewing the sky. This would be useful and fun when teaching about the solar system. I'm still exploring Google Earth, but I loved all the features I've discovered so far. Great tool for the classroom!
