GreatSchools.Org

The 4th Effective Literacy Website I chose was Great Schools (http://www.greatschools.org/).

It is a noteworthy and up-to-date educational website for many reasons. The website aims to pinpoint local top-rated schools in the United States. However, it is also a great resource center for parents and teachers for children in grades preschool up to high school. The site is a great place to find articles on hot topics, worksheets and ideas for activities. It also greatly promotes parental involvement in their child’s education and success. Overall, Great Schools is an effective literacy website because it has many resources to aid in student literacy learning all at no cost.
