Light at the end of the tunnel . . .
We are almost there.  The end is in site.  I have just finished exploring Google Earth and have finally figured out how to incorporate it into a lesson.  I wanted to do something with plate tectonics but I could not come up with any ideas and I could not find anything related that interested me.  Then it hit me, how do you find exact locations on a globe.  The answer - using latitude and longitude lines.  I did this during first quarter in Chapter 1.  I had to go around the different grade levels to borrow globes to do the activity, but what if I used Google Earth instead next school year?  Finally I had an idea I was excited about! Now all I needed to do was to concentrate on this project.  In order to do that, I decided to work on my literacy website 5,6, and 7.  If I get those out of the way, I would be able to concentrate all my efforts on the Geo-Narrative project.  Happily, I was able to do that.  So, I'm exhausted but the end it in sight.  Happy Blogging!

  1. Great job on completing all your literacy reflections! I'm excited to see your project on absolute location. Although I teach this during 1st quarter, I find it necessary to reinforce these skills throughout the school year.

  2. Excellent Job! I am glad that you were able to see the end of the tunnel early. I feel like I just saw it today! But I am thankful for your perseverance as it served as a motivation for me!
