IRA Effective Literacy Website #6

IRA Effective Literacy Website #6 - ABC Mouse.com

I chose ABCmouse.com because this is a great website for early literacy.  ABCmouse.com is a global education initiative of Age of Learning, Inc. Their goal is to help children build a strong foundation for future academic success by providing a comprehensive and engaging online curriculum.  Its goal is to have early learners succeed in pre-k, kindergarten, and early elementary school programs.

ABCmouse.com is subscription-based, with no advertising, pop-up ads, or links to other sites. Children can learn and explore with their parents, or on their own (depending on age and ability), in a safe and secure online educational environment.

At ABCmouse.com, the computer mouse comes to life as ABC Mouse, who serves as their site ambassador and guide to the learners.

While using ABCmouse.com, children follow an educational path.  This path changes as the child masters the concepts.  As the learning paths change, so do the habitats.

ABC mouse is not free, but the investment is well worth it.  I didn’t post any links because they automatically link to my daughter’s learning path, and I am still trying to figure out how to do screen shots on my laptop.
