IRA Website #3 Reflection

I wrote my review of the Lit2Go website.  If found that this is an effective literary website that will mostly benefit students of all grades and teachers.  Lit2Go can be used as a supplementary resource for classic reading lessons.

The homepage includes a search engine.  Viewers can use the search engine to find specific literary pieces.  They can also use the browsing menu and find collections by searching the author, book, genres, collections, and readabilities.  I find the readability option will mostly benefit teachers who are trying to find literary text appropriate for the grade level they teach.  All pages include a full text and audio stream, and most pages include a free mp3, pdf file, and student activity that can easily be downloaded.

Although the website does not offer "new" literary pieces, the classic collections include stories and poems from some of the most influential authors such as Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickinson, Lewis Carroll.  I think that the site will be great for students looking to enhance their reading skills and comprehension, teachers who need an online database of classic literary texts, and ESL/ELL students who can use the graphic organizers on the student activity and audio options.
