Education.com
is another useful website for both parents and teachers. The site is privately funded and backed by leading venture
capital firms: TeleSoft Partners, Azure Capital Partners, and California
Technology Ventures. It offers thousands of fun and
educational activities, printables, and workbooks. Users of this site can also access tens of
thousands of current, creditable and easy to read articles ranging from
kindergarten readiness to college prep.
The site contains fun and insightful video content offering parent
advice to step by step activity instructions.
What I found unique about education.com is that with the use of “school
finder” users has access to qualitative and quantitative information such as
district/school zones, drop-out rates, etc. on pre-school, K-12 schools, and
higher learning institutions.
I
enjoyed browsing through the wonderful collection of activities that were
geared for all grade levels. The site
also contains specific search categories to help filter the abundant resources offered
so that users are able to find what they need more efficiently. All activities include the materials and
instructions so that teachers and parents can create each product in the home
or classroom. In addition, print and
download options could be done easily.
Although
not all resources provided on this site are free of charge, many of it is
reasonably priced. For immediate access
to workbooks and other printables, users are given the option of purchasing a
downloadable resource. I especially love
having this option because I can easily save resources onto a computer and refer
to my electronic version any time in the future. I recommend this site to all parents and
educators and look forward to sharing it with my colleagues!

I started exploring their science category. There are some very good articles and worksheets available for teachers. Thanks for sharing, I will definitely use this site as a resource.
ReplyDeleteSchools on the mainland can be very competitive. I know my sister did her research on school districts before making a final decision on where to purchase a home. I was something that I never considered before that. Now that I have children of my own, of course, the quality of their education is one of my top priorities. **In an ideal world, all parents would fight for better school districts and all government officials would ensure that they would provide them.**
