IRA Website #1: The Busy Teacher's Cafe

http://www.busyteacherscafe.com

This is a free online resource for K-6 teachers.  This site was created in 2001 by Erika Gomez-Sanchez, a veteran educator.  She hold degrees in Elementary Education and History, Reading, and Educational Leadership.  She holds several teaching certifications in the state of New Jersey.  You can read more about her on the "About" section of the site.

I fell in love with this site, as it includes numerous links to literacy resources, ideas, lessons, printables, and more.  Teaching topics are arranged by monthly theme or subject.  The site also includes links and resources for classroom organization and management.  I spent lots of time just browsing the site because there was so much to see.  The website design is eye-catching and easy to navigate.  I will definitely be spending more time on this site as I feel it has a lot to offer as far as enhancing my lesson plans.
