Rcampus

I initially wanted to use Engrade for my Course Management System assignment, but decided to go with Rcampus.  I easily created an account for both tools and was able to see the different features of each.  What won me over for Rcampus was the Rubric Gallery.  I use rubrics in my classroom and value their effectiveness in explaining a student's performance to parents/guardians.  I have never used Rcampus, so this is an entirely new learning experience for me.

  1. Rubrics are very effective. It is great for parents and students because it explains why the student got that grade.

  2. Yes. It always makes expectations clear when my daughter brings home the rubric for a project. It also helps her to determine the amount of effort she wants to put into an assignment.

  3. Do you like the rubric feature in RCampus? I only wish I can upload from word document rather than create my own using the site. I ended up attaching my rubric to the assignment.

  4. Its great that you included rubrics in your unit. The first question that is always asked by my students after introducing and assigning a project is "What are we being graded on?" Rubrics clearly answer that question.
